Dad welded in chassis reinforcing plates in various places – the welds are not pretty, but effective.
Note passenger’s side rocker panel at left in picture above.
The above frame repair, to the best of my knowledge, was done in the 1960s. Ugly, but effective.
Driver’s side rocker panel, looking backwards.
